Senator Marsha Blackburn said: "There has been a lot said about big tech censorship, of what transpired around the origins of the COVID-19 virus and where this came from, how it moved to a pandemic, and then there’s also questions about what the American people were told and the timeliness or the lack thereof of what they were being told." She said they knew that Facebook recently reversed their decision of taking down any kind of information that said that it came from the lab in Wuhan, that Beijing should be held to account.
Youtube had previously announced that it would censor any content that contradicted the Beijing-run China-funded World Health Organisation. Youtube even took down a video from some medical doctors who were questioning the value of the lockdowns and what it does to the population and especially what it does to our children.
Twitter locked down the account of a Chinese virologist who was saying: “This is what they are doing, gain of function research, this is what they’re doing at the Wuhan Institute of Virology", holding the Chinese Communist Party to account.
She said: "Big tech has stepped over the line on this one. We all have suggestions of how we as a senate should move forward and things we should do to make sure that this never happens to the American people."
Senator Mike Braun called for the immediate declassification and submission to the senate of the US intelligence agencies' reports.
Senator Roger Marshall was thankful of the opportunity to discuss the Wuhan lab leak and the coverup thereof. He was highly critical of US scientists, most if not all of whom were receiving or about to receive funding from the NIH who had thrown all scientific methodology and protocols out the window and the CDC had made no attempt to challenge them and simply nodded their heads.
He went on to reveal how national journalists in cahoots with big tech had shamefully sought to suppress the truth, they worked together to censor anyone who suggested that this virus may have originated in Wuhan.
Not only did they suppress the information but they actually shamed people who thought it might have come from the laboratory there.
And finally he talked about Dr Fauci’s emails and his collusion with big tech, working together to suppress this story.
He said: "Here we are 17 months later and we still don’t know anything much about this virus." He said he thought they had to hold the CCP accountable and if the US is in any way accountable, if they helped fund laboratories that led to the development of this virus, then the senate needs to be held accountable as well and they need to deep dive into what viral gain of research rules look like going forward as well.
He said they would never get to the bottom of this unless they stop the coverup of the Wuhan lab leak.
Senator Johnson pointed out that the evidence about a potential of the lab leak theory had been hiding in plain sight of them for months. The fact that their federal agencies under direction of Anthony Fauci funded this type of research for years has been lying out there, hidden in plain sight for months. "Shame on the media and shame on social media for not paying attention to it, for completely ignoring it."
As a result the Chinese have had 18 months to destroy the evidence and that they would probably never get to the bottom of it.
He said: “Make no doubt about it, China is guilty, they are culpable. They knew they had a corona virus, they knew they had a deadly pandemic-type virus in Wuhan. They didn’t allow flights out of Wuhan to the rest of China, but they let that virus infect the entire world. So we already know they are guilty, and we know they have to be held to account."
"I think we also need to hold the news media and the social media accountable as well."
"This isn’t the only area of suppression. I could list a long list of false narratives, false stories, that the drive-by media promotes and then never really adequately retracts."
He spoke of his personal experience with COVID, with censorship and suppression that he believes has cost tens of thousands of Americans their lives.
He said: "The NIH guidelines as relates to treatment of COVID remains a compassionless guideline to basically do nothing. Go home and isolate yourself, be afraid, and if you just happen to get sick enough where you have to check yourself into hospital, maybe we can save your life."
He said he held two hearings on early treatment. Dr Peter McCullough laid out the four pillars of pandemic response: "First try and stop the spread. Well China’s guilty in not doing that; second pillar is early treatment, how we apply early treatment to every other condition. Early detection, early treatment; then in-hospital treatment; and finally vaccine."
"Why did our health agencies, why did Anthony Fauci, why did the mainstream media suppress and censor?"
"Doctors have the courage and compassion to treat patients early with cheap generic repurposed drugs. Why did that happen?"
"There’s growing evidence, it’s not being reported on by the media."

Which is why he believes the news media will never admit their complicity, they will never admit they were wrong here. "But it’s not too late. Lives can be saved. We are still going to need early treatment no matter how effective vaccine is, no matter how effective immunity is, other people will still get infected.
"I’m imploring the media to pay attention to doctors like Dr Kory, Dr Peter McCullough and the other doctors who have the courage and compassion to treat patients. It’s not too late. We need to start robust exploration into early treatment now. We need to explore early treatment now."
Senator Wicker joined Senator Blackburn in deploring the despicable actions of big tech, Google, Facebook and Twitter, who have taken it upon themselves to decide what is the news. They decide what information the public is going to get and what information is going to be blocked.
He said: "It wasn’t just the Wuhan virus, which was an outrage. Google threatened to cut off several conservative websites, including the Federalist. Facebook suspended the account of a former United States president. That is too much power."
"Twitter moved to censor any corona virus coverage which they thought in their judgement might cause widespread panic."
He said that’s why he’s joining Senator Blackburn in correcting the Section 230 gaps and that he was also introducing legislation to make it clear that these large internet tech platforms cannot discriminate based upon their own opinions and based on what they think the public should and should not be allowed to hear.
He said this is a serious, grave threat to freedom and the open exchange of ideas under their constitution.
Senator Blackburn said she thought that the Senate Standing Committees should take the lead, and she was pleased that their allies were also joining them and saying: 'this needs to be investigated'. It is obvious something was not right.
She went on to say that it was a concern that the WHO decided that they were going to let the Communist Chinese tell them when and how they could approach the lab and that we had to wait for months.
She thought that it was appropriate that Dr Fauci step aside from his responsibilities at the NIIAD and that he make himself available to Congress to find out exactly how was he in cahoots with Mark Zuckerberg and big tech, what transpired there, did American people hear some truth but not the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Was there not timeliness of acknowledgement of concerns about the lab? Why was there not more of a concern around Wuhan saying you cannot go anywhere else in China, or the Chinese Communist Party saying you can go nowhere else if you are from that province, or from Wuhan, but you can travel the globe.
"We’ve got 3-1/2 million people who have lost their lives. We have hundreds of thousands of American families who have experienced loss of life in their families, to loved ones to friends, we have loss of livelihoods for hundreds of millions, we have children, precious children that have experienced loss of learning for a year, loss of socialism that are showing emotional problems."
"Dr Fauci is funded by the US taxpayer and the taxpayer is saying 'What did you do with our dollar?' "
